I was born and raised in Pakistan and am a proud mother of six grown children. I’ve enjoyed watching them develop and initially became interested in Montessori during my children’s foundational years of education. In 2004 I did my AMI Primary training from the Montessori Training Center of BC. While working with children in the primary classroom, I realised that Montessori education should be introduced to children very early on - this motivated me to take the Assistance to Infancy Training in 2010 when it was offered for the first time in Vancouver. It’s given me an understanding and appreciation for just how important the child’s development during their first 3 years really is.
I have been working as a Montessori teacher in Metro Vancouver for over 14 years, both with Toddler and Primary-aged children.
I believe that Montessori education is for life and should be introduced to children from birth. My sincere passion is to prepare an environment that supports each child on their natural path of development. My role is to provide them with the necessary skills to function as a contributing member of society and to nurture their love of learning.
