Educational excellence and community safety

Since the onset of Covid-19 in March 2020, Mia Montessori Academy has made a concerted effort to transition through the necessary stages of regular in-person Montessori education into an online format and now back to in-person learning under the health and safety guidelines of the Ministry of Education, the BCCDC, Worksafe BC, and our local health authority.

Regardless of the pandemic stage, our goal has been to provide a safe learning environment while ensuring that every child is able to continue learning through daily interactions with their teachers and classmates. Without compromising the safety of our community, we aim to ensure that each child’s educational needs are met to the extent possible within the existing guidelines. Currently we are operating at 100% capacity with in-person learning and we are taking our responsibility seriously to adhere to health and safety guidelines to ensure the safest possible learning environment.

Please find our Communicable Diseases Safety Plan here.. Faculty and parents can find summarized health and safety procedures and protocols in our Handbook for Staff and Parents, respectively.
